Shadow Gallery  a su, au fil d'albums privilégier intelligemment le
lyrisme et la beauté des thèmes, à une virtuosité démonstrative.
Voici un groupe faisant parti des grands du courant hard progressif,
composé de musiciens extrêmement talentueux, jouant une musique technique, contrastée, ambitieuse, avec beaucoup d'idées, de variations, affectionnant les longues suites inspirées, composées de fresques
épiques empreintes d'une beauté sereine ou les claviéristes donnent
une dimension extrêmement symphonique et progressive à la musique.
Mais leur musique se veut avant tout hard, les guitares nous rappelant
à l'ordre avec leurs chevauchées épiques et ébouriffante, du hard
progressif très ouvragé avec un superbe travail sur les voix.
Avec  Shadow Gallery  on pense tout à tour à des groupes comme  Magellan , Angra , Arena , Queen , Ayreon , Violet District , Rush .
2009 voit le retour de  Shadow Gallery  avec " digital ghosts "
premier album sans son chanteur originel, le regretté  Mike Baker ,
 emporté par une crise cardiaque au mois d'octobre 2008, 
remplacé ici par  Brian Ashland , la nouvelle voix du groupe.
Shadow Gallery  un des grands groupes du courant hard progressif !!!
