~ WAKEMAN Rick ~

Rick Wakeman après avoir été un musicien de studio réputé à la fin des 60's
( il collabora entre autre avec David Bowie , Cat Stevens , T-Rex et autre
Black Sabbath ...) mais également en tant que clavier du grand Yes ,
a été maintes fois qualifié de prodige des claviers au même titre qu'un
Keith Emerson . Il connut son heure de gloire dans la décennie suivante
avec sa carrière solo, dont le point d'orgue sera l'adaptation du roman de
Jules Verne , " Journey To The Centre Of The Earth ".
  1994 : superbe double cd instrumental live, avec le classique
" Journey To The Centre Of The Earth " sur plus de 38 minutes !
  1999 : Trevor Rabin , Ozzy Osborne , Justin Hayward , Fraser Smith ,
  le London symphony orchestra, pour une nouvelle version de son meilleur CD.

L�homme à la voix d�or poursuit sa collaboration, entamée voilà quelques années, avec Rick Wakeman , l�un de ses anciens complices de Yes .
Le duo après une série de concerts en 2006, nous revient aujourd'hui
avec " The Living Tree ", un album de chansons très dépouillées,
aux titres souvent empreints de douceur et de mélancolie, aux antipodes
de la complexité du progressif symphonique de Yes . Jon Anderson y
pose délicatement sa voix, une voix diminuée suite à des problèmes de
santé, ce qui lui coûtera son éviction de Yes en 2009. Un bel album
fait de compositions majoritairement interprétées au piano, sobrement
enluminées par le clavier de Rick Wakeman et magnifiées l'une des
plus belle voix de toute l'histoire du rock progressif.
