Richard Barbieri s'illustre au clavier depuis plus de dix ans, dans l'ombre du génial Steve Wilson gourou de Porcupine Tree , mais notre homme hante
les enregistrements les plus variés depuis maintenant près de trente ans,
que ce soit entre autre dans Japan , No-Man ou avec Steve Hogarth
( chanteur de Marillion ). Sur ce premier effort solo, il est accompagné à la basse par Percy Jones ( Brian Eno , Brand X ) et par Andy Gangadeen
à la batterie ( The Bays , h band ). Ce fanatique du son analogique et du
sample judicieux, valorise ici ses qualités d'illustrateur sonore, il n'avait
jusqu'ici jamais sauté le pas de l'album en solitaire. La palette technique de
sa musique regorge de loops, textures distordues et autres craquements détournés, un véritable voyage où digressions ambients et expériences
sensitives hypnotiques se matérialisent en un véritable film imaginaire.
