Italie  -  néo-progressif symphonique  -  ****

The Watch  réussi avec brio a nous replonger 25 ans en arrière dans
l'univers musical et onirique, créé au début des seventies par le groupe
 Genesis . Outre l'indéniable qualité des instrumentistes, c'est la personnalité
du chanteur et leader  Simone Rossetti  qui fait la force de  The Watch .  
Du néo-progressif symphonique, entre du  Genesis  période  Peter Gabriel ,
et du  Marillion  période  Fish , aux arpèges de guitares dignes d'un
Steve Hackett , avec un chanteur au timbre de voix proche de
Peter Gabriel , et une touche digne du meilleur  King Crimson  
principalement sur le premier album. Avec ses compositions de grande
qualité, ses superbes claviers d'époque aux tons seventies à souhaits
( Mellotron, Moogs, ...) ses bucoliques arpèges de guitare et autres envolées
rappelant le  Steve Hackett , première période, sa flûte et bien entendu la
superbe voix incroyablement gabrielienne de  Simone Rossetti ,
The Watch  réussi d'excellents albums inspirés et plein d'émotions !
