~ The Samurai Of Prog ~

The Samurai Of Prog est une nouvelle formation, baptisée d'après le
surnom de Marco Bernard , un Italien installé en Finlande. Non-content
d'éditer le fanzine Colossus et de publier régulièrement, avec le concours
du label Musea, de nombreux projets rendant hommage au rock progressif
sous toutes ses formes, notre fervent défenseur s'est saisi de sa basse pour
nous réinterpréter quelques pièces mythiques: "The Lamia" ( Genesis ),
"Starship Troopers" ( Yes ), "World Of Adventures" ( The Flower Kings ),
"Assassing" ( Marillion ), "Gravita 9.81" ( Arti & Mestieri ), "Dogs"
( Pink Floyd )... Un caprice ? Ce serait oublier que notre homme a fait
partie de la formation transalpine Elektroshock à la fin des années soixante-dix.
De plus, The Samurai Of Prog est une véritable formation, complétée par
le batteur Kimmo Pörsti ( Mist Season ) et le chanteur
Steve Unruh . Quelques invités de poids, tels Roine Stolt
( The Flower Kings ), David Myers ( The Musical Box ) ou
Michael Manring ( Attention Deficit ), apparaissent également à l'affiche
de "Undercover" (Musea, 2011). Pour finir, l'album est agrémenté de
quatre compositions originellement signées Elektroshock , et ici reprises
par Resistor (USA), Alfio COSTA & Guglielmo MARIOTTI (Italie),
Roz Vitalis (Russie) et Contrarian (USA).
