Voici le premier opus de the Gift , formation anglaise qui nous propose
un ambitieux néo-progressif aux multiples influences, on pense tour à tour
à Genesis , Yes , Pink Floyd , Barclay James Harvest , ou à
Spock's Beard de Neal Morse mais aussi à Manfred Mann's Earth Band .
L'album est divisé en 2 morceaux, de quoi développer des mélodies à la
façon d’un Transatlantic , lors de longues et magnifiques digressions
instrumentales, tour à tour électriques, mélancoliques, symphoniques,
un album étonnant interprété par des musiciens hors-pair où l'on
entend de superbes parties de claviers, une guitare mélodique à souhait,
de magnifiques passages instrumentaux soutenu par un chant expressif.
Un groupe à découvrir et à suivre dans l'avenir !!!
