La musique d' Opeth  se fait en dents de scie, ici noire, là atmosphérique,
tantôt violente, tantôt mélodique. Avec " deliverance " et " Ghost reveries "
c'est le côté métal, violent, de la musique d' Opeth , une musique chargée d'émotion et de puissance, mais toujours avec un formidable sens de la
mélodie, enchaînements de plans heavy et de plans acoustiques,
avec un chant, tantôt guttural, tantôt aérien, qui s’intercale entre les
magistrales séquences de guitares aux saturations puissantes,
elles-mêmes enrobées de sublime claviers.
" Damnation " album produit par  Steve Wilson , propose un rock progressif essentiellement acoustique qui puise son inspiration dans les grands
groupes de 70's, on navigue entre  Anekdoten  et  Porcupine Tree ,
un album très mélancolique plein d'émotion !
Un groupe majeur de la scène death métal actuelle !!!
