Quincy Delight Jones Jr., dit Quincy Jones et surnommé « Q », né le 14 mars 1933 à
Chicago (Illinois), est un trompettiste, arrangeur, compositeur et producteur américain.
Il remporta 27 Grammy Awards. " Back on the Block " est un album produit par
Quincy Jones et sorti en 1989. De nombreux chanteurs et musiciens célèbres participent
à cet album, notamment  Ella Fitzgerald, Miles Davis, Ice-T, Big Daddy Kane,
Sarah Vaughan, Dizzy Gillespie, George Benson, Luther Vandross, Dionne Warwick,
Barry White, Chaka Khan, Take 6, Bobby McFerrin, Al Jarreau et Ray Charles.
À la 33e cérémonie des Grammy Awards, " Back on the Block " a reçu sept
Grammy Awards, dont le Grammy Award de l'album de l'année.
