Formation norvégienne évoluant depuis 1994, se situant entre jazz,
post-rock et électro. Le groupe associe avec maestria les arrangements classiques d’instruments à cordes ou à vent avec l’électronique et la guitare.
Plusieurs membres font également partie de  The National Bank .
De nombreux critiques considèrent  Jaga Jazzist comme les précurseurs
du mouvement scandinave nu-jazz.
