Iron Maiden  est un groupe de heavy metal britannique formé en 1976
par le bassiste  Steve Harris  et son ami d'enfance  Dave Murray .
Les musiciens étaient réputés pour jouer une musique complexe,
reprenant en quelque sorte le flambeau de la sophistication
instrumentale du rock progressif de la décennie précédente.
Leur longévité, leurs compositions puissantes et mélodiques,
la diversité de leur discographie et surtout leur qualité de précurseurs
du genre en ont fait l'un des groupes phare de la scène heavy metal.
