Angleterre  -  rock progressif  -  **** 

Un des groupes maître incontesté du rock progressif des années soixante-dix,
musicalement très complexe, la formation britannique se caractérise
notamment par ses fameuses polyphonies vocales, ses voix en superposition créant des effets intéressants, chants décalés ou à l'unisson, une véritable marque de fabrique, les musiciens s'avèrent être tous très talentueux et
inspirés, sachant se servir de nombreux instruments. Leur musique s'avère
à la fois complexe et hyper-travaillée, elle parvient à fusionner avec élégance
de larges sources d'inspiration qui vont de la musique médiévale au jazz en passant par les polyphonies de la renaissance, le folklore, la soul, la musique symphonique, les dissonances contemporaines, la musique de chambre,
le rock,.... une sorte de médiéval rock.
Un Gentil Géant à redécouvrir absolument !!!
