Creedence Clearwater Revival  est une formation originaire de Berkeley,
dans la région de San Francisco, formée en 1967 à l'initiative de l'auteur, compositeur, chanteur et guitariste  John Fogerty . Le groupe actif
jusqu'en 1972, propose une musique faite de rock aux influences blues, rock'n'roll et country, très influencé par la Louisiane. Au cours de sa brève existence, Creedence Clearwater Revival  a accumulé des succès planétaires comme  Proud Mary, Travelin' Band, Green River ou Fortunate Son .
