Colosseum  est un groupe de jazz-rock, considéré comme une des
influences majeures du mouvement du rock progressif des années 1970.
Il propose une fusion progressive oscillant entre blues et progressive-jazz-rock,
vitalité et créativité pour une musique forte, pleine de feeling !!! 
Le groupe est dissous en 1971, lorsque  Jon Hiseman  voulut le reformer
aucun des membres originaux ne répondit à son appel.
C'est ainsi que renaît une seconde version du groupe avec trois nouveaux
musiciens, pour une musique jazz-rock progressive fortement marquée par
les guitares acérées du célèbre  Gary Moore  avec les claviers de
Don Airey ( Rainbow , Black Sabbath ..) et la basse de  John Mole .
