…And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead ( nommé aussi ' Trail of Dead ')
c'est l'association musicale de  Jason Reece  et  Conrad Keely ,
le groupe sera complété par  Neil Busch (basse) et  Kevin Allen (guitare).
Sous cette formation, le groupe se forge très vite une réputation et sort en
1998 son premier album. En quatre albums, le combo texan a su mettre en
place un style bien particulier où s'emmêlent rage sonique et poésie.
Le groupe, qui compte deux chanteurs, se distingue sur par une instrumentation
variée aux nombreux changements de tempo, maniant divinement les ambiances, autant dans les structures que dans les sautes d'humeur, un style varié,
indéfinissable, à la fois punk rock rageur et colérique, aux guitares énergiques,
mais lorsque vient le temps de l'apaisement, elles savent se faire plus douces et
légères, la musique se fait alors mélancolique, triste, accompagnée par le piano,
selon les ambiances les voix savent se faire tantôt criardes et éraillée,
ou claires et chuchotantes quand l'humeur le demande.
Une œuvre impressionnante de maîtrise, débordante d’énergie,
dans le genre groupe singulier, on trouve difficilement mieux !!!
