Aaron English  est un pianiste compositeur américain né à Washington.
Après avoir voyager à travers une douzaine de pays, il fréquente ensuite le
‘Bard College’ de New-York pour améliorer ses connaissances en production.
C’est là qu’il rencontre Don Gunn (Batterie), Miguel Mateus (Basse) et
Meredith Yayanos (Chant, violon) qui le rejoindront plus tard à l’occasion
de l’enregistrement de son album. Début 2001, il construit son propre studio.
L’enregistrement de l’album ‘All the waters of this world’ débute en avril 2001
et durera un an. Seize musiciens d’horizons divers (Ghana, Venezuela, Fiji,
Mexique, Roumanie, Australie,….) et plus de quinze instruments traditionnels
(hurdy-gurdy, mariachi, mbira, Bouzouki, …) apparaissent sur l’album,
dessinant un paysage de différentes traditions musicales.
