30 Seconds to Mars  est un groupe de rock alternatif américain, originaire
de Californie. Il est fondé en 1998 par l’acteur  Jared Leto  et son grand
frère  Shannon Leto . C'est en 2002 que sort leur premier album éponyme,
c'est  Bob Ezrin  en personne (l'homme des  Pink Floyd , d' Alice Cooper ,
de  Kiss , etc) qui va s'occuper de l'album. Le groupe joue un métal
lorgnant vers le néo mais avec des passages mélodiques très réussi,
on pense alors à des groupes comme  Korn , Orgy  ou  Pink Floyd .
Après s'être enfermé presque une année en studio, le groupe refait surface
en 2005 avec " A Beautiful Lie ", album qui décevra beaucoup
de monde, plus conventionnel il n'en reste pas moins sympathique.
